Chimpanzee Rips Womans Face Off – One of the recent hot topics both on and offline has been about how a chimpanzee rips womans face off. Basically this involves the shockingly true story of Travis the 200 pound chimp who attacked a woman, ripping her face and hands off. The woman was employed by Travis’ owner, Sandy Herold, in Stamford, Connecticut, and was also a friend. Unfortunately, Travis was feisty on the particular day (2/16/09) and used a key to let himself out of the house he stayed at. The woman, Charla Nash, was called by her employer/friend to come help and get Travis back inside. As soon as Charla set foot outside of her vehicle, Travis attacked with speed and might.He became irate and from there, the chimpanzee rips the womans face off, along with her hands. She suffered major injuries and was hospitalized, but survived to tell her story on Oprah not long ago.

This particular chimpanzee was known to be violent before. Its owner Ms. Herold was treating it with the medication Xanax, which humans take to deal with anxiety, stress and depression symptoms.

Charla, age 55, is grateful to be alive, and claims to not be bitter about the whole ordeal. She may receive a face transplant which would be great news for her situation. She had to have both eyes removed, eliminating her sight forever.
